First Birthday Party and the Hangover after

Yes, I did just say that I had a hangover after Gabby's first birthday party. And it wasn't even the kind of hangover caused by fun drinking or overindulgence. This was an "wow-that-was-fun-but-thank-God-that-it-is-over" hangover. Pure exhaustion and the feeling that I hadn't eaten anything of any nutritional value in ages.

But, the most important thing is that Gabby had a great time and it was so much fun watching her play with the other kids. They didn't quite get the whole pinata thing, but that is ok, there are many more birthdays for that so I am sure they will all lunge for the candy in a few years. As usual, Gabs was surrounded by boys. So many male cousins! She had fun with the toy gifts and I will have fun dressing her in wearable gifts so that is good. All in all, I would call the party a success!
